THE WILDCAT FIELD HOCKEY CAMP IS A PRIVATELY RUN SPORTS CAMP, AND IS NOT OPERATED BY OR THROUGH DAVIDSON COLLEGE. THE CAMP IS NOT SPONSORED, CONTROLLED, OR SUPERVISED BY DAVIDSON COLLEGE, BUT RATHER IS UNDER THE SOLE SPONSORSHIP AND SUPERVISION OF THE CAMP DIRECTOR, GINNY SUTTON.

 


Camp Details

Lodging: Lodging will be provided on the beautiful campus of Davidson College. Campers will stay in air conditioned dormitories. Each camper will be responsible for a $40 key deposit refunded when key is returned. (Please bring check for deposit at check-in on July 6th)


Turf Facility: Sessions will be held at the two-year-old Belk Turf Field Hockey Facility at Davidson College. Adjacent grass fields will also be available for field play. Stadium seating is available for spectators. Campers please wear running shoes or turf shoes. Cleats are not appropriate for the turf.
Travel: Transportation to and from the Charlotte International Airport will be available for a $40 round-trip fare.
Arriving Flights: Book flights arriving between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on July 6th.
Departing Flights: Book flights between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on July 9th.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner available at Davidson College dining facility. All meals will be served to Overnight and commuter campers. Lunch will be served for Day campers.
Counselors: Camp counselors will be selected by administration. Wildcat Field Hockey Camp will provide the most responsible coaching staff, consisting of some of the most elite players and coaches from around the country, and potentially the world. Counselors will reside in the dormitory, and are responsible for constant supervision of the campers.
Medical Care: Accident and Health Insurance is the responsibility of the parents. An Athletic Trainer will be available at all sessions. Each camper must have had a physical examination within one year for the start of camp. Physician’s statement should be completed and submitted at registration. Copy of current school physical accepted. Campers can not participate without signed statement by physician.
